TOLEDO, Ohio — Three people, including two teenagers, were killed in a head-on crash in south Toledo late Saturday, leaving three families grieving and a community shaken, according to the Toledo Police Department.
Police said the crash happened just before 11:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, near Hill Avenue and Wenz Road. Tewan Terry, 19, was driving a Dodge Charger east on Hill Avenue with three passengers when it collided head-on with a westbound Chevrolet Blazer driven by Nasir Johnson, 26. Terry and Antonio Adams, 17, a passenger in the Charger, died at the scene. Johnson was taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center, where he later died.
Three other people were hospitalized: a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old who were in the Charger, and a 28-year-old Blazer passenger. Police haven't released their conditions. WTOL reported that police said the Charger ran a red light. Toledo police continue to investigate.
For the families of Terry, Adams and Johnson, an ordinary Saturday night became a loss that can't be undone. May those who loved them find strength in the days ahead, and may the injured recover fully.
